Cathartic revelation

shivering with your skinny hand in mine
with the sounds of love we persevere
sweat of anguish creeping down my spine
with watery eyes i speak your name, oh dear

the ecstasy of speed in words
purification in the weakest form
somebody smiles, the other hurts
everything is torn up by a storm

once strong, now it's cold out in the rain
remembrance returns, now and then
still i walk through streets of strange disdain
now as you're gone i care again

alone with your image deep inside
as these cold days break our fragile shells
just one thought remains, a little light
