You were young like the picture still painting in their heads.
You were as good as can be expected among the young.
You were a smile reinvented through your friends recollection.

You were vulnerable because milk spills and cookies crumble.
So at eleven o'clock p.m. you left her house in the driver seat...
And I prayed to see what you looked like as a passenger so we could feel the weight of the situation.
