Life is made of this

At first when I was young and small I've thought that life was made of
All the little things the day by day things peanut butter children's playthings
Daddy's strenght and mommy's kiss I've thought life was made of this
But then I was only just a child
Then as I grew exotic places beckon me and strangers' faces
Said to me think big and prosper win a Grammy or an Oscar
Make it big and be someone so that's what I've gone and done
But it all seem empty after awhile
For all the world is cold and lonely fame and fortune made me only
Realize life's greatest charms are those you can't hold in your arms
And now that I've been through it all I know that life is made of

Honey's arms and baby's kiss simple things bring happiness
