Pandora101

Rhymes of man

Pandora101
Rayless, and pathless, and the icy earth
Swung blind and blackening in the moonless air
Morn came and went--and came, and brought me no day,
And men forgot their passions in the dread
Of their desolation

To free the hollow heart from paining -
They stood aloof, the scars remaining.
Like cliffs which had been rent asunder
But neither heat, nor frost, nor thunder,
And life is thorny and youth is vain
Work like madness in the brain
And if forever, even though, never

Silence of that dreamless sleep. i envy now too much to weep

For deliverance for the pride once i had
God i pleased you but everything has just turned to sand
Hear that the voices begging inside of my head
God forgive me if true faith doesn´t lie within my heart

Shivering scrap'd with their cold skeleton hands
The feeble ashes, and their feeble breath
Blew for a little life

Mad disquietude on the dull sky,
The pall of a past world and then again
With curses cast them down
Upon the dust,

To free the hollow heart from paining -
They stood aloof, the scars re maining.
Like cliffs which had been rent asunder
But neither heat, nor frost, nor thunder,
And life is thorny and youth is vain
Work like madness in the brain
And if for ever, even though, never

Silence of that dreamless sleep. i envy now too much to weep

For deliverance for the pride once i had
God i pleased you but everything has turned to sand
Hear that the voices begging inside of my head
God forgive me if true faith doesn´t lie within my heart

As aught of mortal birth too soon return'd to earth!
So i behold them not: like common earth can rot
Must fall the earliest prey the leaves must drop away:

For deliverance for the pride once i had
God i pleased you but everything has turned to sand
Hear that the voices begging inside of my head
God forgive me if true faith doesn´t lie within my heart
