We visited a land of a thousand songs
Voices blending clearly
Each one seeming to say as it sang,
We love our country dearly.

We visited a land of a thousand songs
Every garden many shades of green
Still they told us, after peace will come
Such colors then as you have never seen.

This land has heard the sound of a million bombings
Broken homes, broken lives, poisoned forests
Crying out to all the world
Speak out, speak out! to stop the bombings.

Each one saying, if need be
Each one of us would give our lives to keep our country free.
