And now the end is near so I face the final curtain
My friend I'll say it clear I'll state my case of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full I've traveled each and every highway
And more much more than this I did it my way
Regrets I've had a few but then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I've planned each chartered course each careful step along the byway

And now as tears subside I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that and may I say that in a shy way

The record shows I took the blows and did it my way
