The neologist

Winter's end

The neologist
I awake from a deepened frost
So long since I've fallen
A life once lost
Begin the search
In the seasons divide
As the shadows tell my story well
My eyes search the sky for light
But the sun of a dying day is lost

My yesterdays have fallen behind
Winters glow, a fading sight
I see the world through blood shot eyes
Adapted to darkness
Redemption of light

The warm embrace of a summer sky
Has long since passed, escaped my mind
A fear of the unknown remains
But a glance at the past a comforting gaze
The sand drops a grain at a time
But the sun of a dying day is lost

My yesterdays have fallen behind
Winters glow, a fading sight
I see the world through blood shot eyes
Adapted to darkness
Redemption of light
My yesterdays have fallen behind
Frozen in the veil of time
I see the world through blood shot eyes
As my world of darkness
Gives in to the light
