Maggie's prayer
Three crossesIf tears were diamonds, her room would be a jewel
She locks her door, silence is her luxury
Maggie lived there for about three years
She left home because she didn't fit in
They said she was running from God
But Maggie didn't know who their God was
She knelt down by her window
Maggie started to pray
But the neon light distracted her
The sign says "Welcome to the Blue Motel"
Where secrets paint the walls and haunt the hallways
Maggie waited but after three long years
of watching heroes come and go
She asked God for salvation
And His Spirit fell upon the broken pieces of her heart
He put the pieces together again
It was the first time she smiled in years
She said, "I feel like a person again"
She knelt down by her window
Maggie started to pray
Remembering the day she left
The sign says "Welcome to the Blue Motel"
Where secrets paint the walls and haunt the hallways
She wondered if she can find Jesus there
Or if God even wanted to hear her prayer
She knelt down by her window
Maggie started to pray
The freedom that she felt was God
No fond farewells
Goodbye, Blue Motel
With one last prayerful walk
She left these hallways
She feels alive since she found Jesus there
In her heart she knows
God hears her prayers
He hears her prayers
He hears her prayers
She'll never be alone again
