Signs of change

Ever since my life began it's always been a bore
Nothing ever happens much to me
Always needed something else, that certain something more
Who can tell me what that thing would be?
If only I could find a way of changing what I am
Maybe that's what I need to know?
But would it go and complicate some vast eternal plan
To re-direct the way I want to go?

Life must be taken the way that you find it
The die has been cast and the scene is set
Don't try to change it, just plod on regardless
Swallowing hard, taking what you get

The books are all written, the stars they all show it
You can only accept it that when you were born
And the sign you were under
Your life will dictate - you can't change it's too late!!
