Wander in the dark

All your glorious banners burned to ashes
All your symbols of holiness shattered and spat upon
Gods and messiahs and false idols
Trampled to the ground, burned and forgotten

Gaze to the sky in defiance
And to the ground in sorrow
Everything is dying around me
And I'm fading away

Where is the star to illuminate my path
Where is the flame to set my soul ablaze

I wander in the dark
Seeking the answers to questions unuttered
Words of the dead or the living can't be trusted
