I never had a real girlfriend or a wife
I was doing alright I was doing just fine
and then I found you

I never knew I was lonely until you weren't around
I never knew I needed someone to help me when I was down
and then I found you
Well the flowers didn't smell better at our first meeting
and the earth didn't shake as we shared our first greeting
but my heart skipped a beat
and you could barely speak

here we are not too long thereafter
we've had some good times shared tears and laughter
