Carmilla

Briton rites
The nocturnal carriage arrived again
She was looking for another lady friend
The young girl, lying fainted upon the ground
A wolf in sheep's clothing had come around
Had we known that day
We would have sent her away
That night she came our of her grave
One look in her eyes and a young girl is her slave
Carmilla is coming to stay
When Laura was a child she thought she had a dream
All of a sudden she began to scream
The first time she had suffered the vampire's bite
She had met Carmilla in her room that night
A portrait... 1698
200 years... is that Carmilla's face?
That night she came out of the grave
One look in her eyes and a young girl is her slave
Carmilla is coming to stay
Why did the funeral hymn make her fly into a rage?
And what is her real age?
Why does she sleep in the day and vanish into the night?
She seems to shun the daylight
The nightmares came again, poor Laura
A black cat... enters her room each night
The beast would turn into a lady
After Laura had the vampire's bite
The lady would turn to go, then fade away
Laura's health declined more each day
"The oupire is going through the woods just like the wolf"
Some would say
The revenant slept in her coffin when it was the day
If Laura was to live there was the one and the only way
They found the blood-liner coffin where Carmilla slept by day
...stake through the heart and with a sword, struck her head away
Sometimes even to this day
Laura can hear her voice from far away
That night she came out of her grave
One look in her eyes and a young girl is her slave... Carmilla has come to stay
