Jesus won because he lost everything
That you and I can't live without
Forsaking friends, family and security
Cause of a promise he knew to be true

Jesus lives because he gave away everything
His word likes love for an ungrateful world
He have birth to church feeble and scared
So you and I might know God's love

Jesus says we're to give away everything
Pick up our cross and follow him
But he suffered and was tortured mercilessly

Jesus knows that his road is impossible
For us to travel on our own

His church and the Holy Spirit
