The dream of life
Clark datchler
A traveler from an ancient land
Spoke of cities in the sand
That rose so high, and then faded away...
Spoke of cities in the sand
That rose so high, and then faded away...
How change is like a raging wind
That lives and dies and lives again
And tests the very heart of all we dream
So, what will we create
And what will we destroy
In this dream of life
On this fragile voyage
When we're walking in the dream of life?
Uncertain is the open road
And where it ends I cannot know
Until I see the sunrise one last time
If who we are is all we keep
When we awaken from this sleep
May we be proud of what we left behind
So, what will we create
And what will we destroy
In this dream of life
On this fragile voyage
When we're walking in the dream of life?
We're walking in the dream of life
We're walking in the dream of life
(Inspired by the poem "Ozymandias" by Percy Shelley)
