Peace with my body
Cora floraFebruary 1986, I was born into a baby girl body
My mother's egg and my father's seed
But my soul is way beyond me
On cloudy days, I look in the mirror
I'm afraid of what I see
The weight of my hips, the shape of my breasts
Am I a deformity?
But on sunny days, I see much clearer
And I love what I see
I accept this temporary blessing of a body
This beautiful animal, elemental being I embody
So unique and challenging, it's exactly who I came to be
I make peace with my body, make peace with the earth
I make peace with my body, make peace with the earth
Cellulite like a mountainside, and
A womb like a volcano
Nipples nourishing like summer rain
Legs strong and tall like trees
A yoni ocean of watery bliss
Soft buddha belly with the keys of creation
Thunder thighs with an elephant rhythm, and
A powerful abundant bum dance
I make peace with my body, make peace with the earth
I make peace with my body, make peace with the earth
Sometimes I feel like a baby, with this full moon face
And these soft little hands
Sometimes I feel like an old lady
My breasts
Drip down to nourish the land
Mermaid feet, and warrior shoulders
Spider veins weaving the web of life
Internally, a symphony of
Glorious evolution
Like mother earth, the amazing recycler
I eat food and I poo out soil
Yes it smells and my body does too sometimes
But I realize this is divine design
I make peace with my body, make peace with the earth
I make peace with my body, make peace with the earth
I make peace with my body, make peace with the earth
I make peace with my body, make peace with the earth
Peace with my body and peace with the earth
Peace with fat, peace with hair, peace with uniqueness
Peace with life
