Rise my son be healed
Dan yorkIn a town very small
A little boy sat all alone
Children ran by and called him names
And laughed at the way he crawled
Tears filled his eyes and he hung his head
Like a dog feeling bad
Ashamed to be seen by the world
His father looked down from the window above
And his heart nearly broke from the pain
He walked outside and he picked up his son
And cradled him there in his arms
They walked down the road, for miles I s'pose
Neither one said a word
They came to the village where people were gathered
The rumers were true
A man of great fame had arrived
He sat on a rock and spoke with words
That danced like wood on fire
They cut through the crowd and pushed their way
His father could not be denied
He strode to the front and laid down his son
And captured the Master's eyes
"Jesus I ask you to heal my boy
I know by your power he'll live
Don't let him lie there in so much pain
Jesus, oh please say the words"
And a silence fell as the crowd held its' breath
Waiting to see what would come
The master reached down with love in His eyes
And said, "Rise my son be healed"
The lad stood up and jumped with joy
And the multitude let out a cheer
And a father's faith grew strong that day
As he followed the King who healed
They walked for miles, the man and his son
Laughing and leaping for joy
The faith of a dad in the hope of the Word
"Rise my son, be healed"
