Endless page
Dave mann collective
I sit here in my back yard
A cup of tea my third so far
I like to think and contemplate
The present the future and my fate
Deep questions are on my mind
Now I have the time to unwind
Certain things that I don't know
Who I am and where I'll go
And I haven't worked it all out yet
And I don't know if I will this lifetime
All I know is that I take each day as a note on my endless page
I thought that I was well informed
Most people my age do
But I find that as I age
The questions longer each step that I take
I talk to people that I respect
They say they haven't worked it out yet
So why this question of who are we?
Can we not just be?
A cup of tea my third so far
