Shower of needles
Eulogium
An Intimation, a sign of things to come
Summoned forth by ancient bloodshed
Hopeless, an inevitable end to it all
Maculating azure skies.
In this I once had clarity
And the very thing I took for granted
Reveals itself as a burden on my shoulders
I lift my wailing to the blackening skies
But I fear it falls on deaf and indifferent ears.
Why have I been chosen to deliver them?
They hate me, they taunt me
My words are returned with a shower of needles
Take your holy spirit away frome me not
For it is all I have left
My dignity and pride have been cast to the dirt
And the spirit is all that ignites my courage
Punish me not for the sins of my fathers
For they were your sons as well
Lay low the hurdle before me
So that I may overcome my shame and transgressions
And drive deep the thorn
in the side of his wretched manipulation.
Summoned forth by ancient bloodshed

Maculating azure skies.
