Gaskin

On my way

Gaskin
I've been to New York, I've been to London,
I've been to Paris, and I've been to Rome

I've stayed in hotels, I've crashed on sidewalks,
Still I've found no where that I can call home

I've driven fast cars, I've slept with movie stars,
I take it all in my stride

But I've been nowhere, and I've seen no one to kill this feeling inside

I've seen the bright lights,
I've had some lonely nights, I've had some high times but never get low

I've dined on caviar, I've played the superstar,
There's always somewhere that I've got to go

I've stayed with Kings and Queens,
I've driven limousines, you could say that was my style

But I say cheerio, I've got some place to go,
I only stay for a while

I've got no ties to bring me down,
I'm always movin' from town to town

I'm sorry I can't stay, I'm on my way

I'm always travelin' across the ocean,
I've got no real friends to call my own

Another new day is just a cliché, forever roamin' forever alone

An endless highway, wish I could fly away,
I'm always paying my dues

I'm in the fast lane, inside my last vein,
I aint got nothin' to lose, oh no
