Beneath contempt
Ground of ruinNo use to anyone, unyielding in disgrace
So spin your lies and burn your tongue
Utter nothing but endless empty words
It won't change a thing: you've fallen far from grace
Entrenched in complete darkness, wallowing in ignorance
Grasping onto false persuasions, convinced of your pretence
Unburdened by what you've become
Prepared long since to sacrifice all ill gained
Summoning, begrudgingly, the will in the 13th hour
Surfacing to see it end, yet overwhelmed by consequence
A vigil to the vacant, to dead sentiment
But too little too late, now you call out desperately,
Let the silence bury you and push you far beneath
Far beneath my contempt,
Your design of deceit had folded for all time
Long before the well ran dry and the flock had scattered
Leaving you to realise, that nothings as it seems
And nothing can grow here, but excuses and frustrations
Take that knowledge with you: its useless to you here
It can't but prolong the misery
Too little now and far too late,
you continue hopelessly.
Lumbered with grand delusions,
Returning to the unreal
Pathetic attempts of absolution
But you can only fool yourself for so long
Unworthy of hate
Far beneath my contempt.
