Chameleon
LannonA man trapped inside a mirror
I washed my face to show a mask
Underneath the one I wore last
When light shines, on a prism, shatters into countless rays
Twist, entwine them, no one finds the place from where I came
Chameleon I could be anybody
And no one could see under my skin
My life belongs to someone else
Don’t know who I am
Chameleon, feeding a lie to everybody
I’ll never know who‘s really within me
Living the life of someone else
Don’t know who I am
A moth found me alone and spoke to me
Said “Hey don’t search for what you cannot see”
I lift my head and tried to reply
But the sound of my voice I could not recognize
When a river is flowing down it cuts its path in countless ways
Twisting, entwining, no one finds the place from where I came
Great things were expected of me
But all of my life,I ate them, they were fed to me
And by mistake I swallowed the whole world
And I, became the soulless vessel for everyone, the chameleon
