Will you be my guardian?
Defend my heart from the reptiles
Will you help me see the road?
Scrape the film from my eyes
Will you embrace my dreams or feed all my nightmares?
Are you a cherished friend or a disguised and despised enemy?
Are you back once more to rub my faults in my face?
Rotten wood hugs the window and a myriad of stains makes in hard to see the other side
I imagine a meadow that covers the earth like winter blankets
Accept me I am you
Wrap me in concrete arms
Smother me in your breath
