Upon a star

In my dreams I try to find
The path to immortal life
The answer to why we die

Through the coldest, northern winds
Through deserts and lands of ice
Riding through lightning skies

On this journey of mine
The answers I must find

All dreams will have died in vain
Though the loss of lives remain
