early monday morning
more like sunday night
i saw three flashes tear across the sky
it came without a warning
a second to react
i let my wishes go too fast - i want them back

midas touches gold
the castle's cold without a hand to hold
sinking in quick silver
glitter starts to rust
burning red like sunset in the summer dusk
