Tengwar
TengwarThe wisdom and the lore
In stone or wooden, deep we carved
With sharp blades ancient Cirth!
But signs we made on younger springs
Angerthas Däeron…
Were left to fondness of the Dwarves
For our need to write was strong!
For elven deeds were mighty and great
And books took place of wooden and stone:
So better signs
Had to be born...
So cry, Tengwesta Kwendion!
The light of Valinor
Lays deep within these magic forms
With the power of the song!
They came with Fëanor the cursed
When Middle-Earth was young
But blood spoiled written pages then
And grief was our bane...
For elfhand killed the elf by the sword,
Shall mourn do never come to an end?
The saddest tale
Had to be told...
Tengwar, tengwar, treasure of the elves
Tengwar, magic signs
Tengwar, tengwar, legacy of elves
Tengwar, in my heart
Tengwar, tengwar, treasure of the elves
Tengwar, magic signs
Tengwar, tengwar, legacy of elves
Tengwar, in my sword
