Understanding love

Once i was in love with someone
That wasn't the right one
Looking back i found out that
I didn't know what i wanted

I was so much in love
But blind at the same time
It took me so long
To understand

Why did it have to end this way
How can i find that love that will always stay

I spent all my time looking after peace
But i guess it wasn't good enough
To fall on my knees

But like you said there wasn't much
