All bar tales
The candystoreWere dissipated through some cheap cigars
And I see I am sitting here by myself
I take another glass of wine
And I think of a story with eight or nine
Pages about how we'll never know so well
Where to go to, where to stay
If we should come back again
To take a breath and start all over
When we have to run or stop
Whether what we're doing is right
If all our causes are so worth the fight
It seems behind those thoughts inside of my mind
There's some kind of lesson to learn about life
And lost in all these bar tales
So my day goes by
Unfinished words in an empty bar
Dive through a river of wine
And I know not all privileges here are mine
But I am still lost in my thoughts
I think of some secrets of life
And those days which the sun doesn't shine
I think of how harsh this world can be
And when we must close our eyes to see
I think of words bigger than you or me
Will we keep playing this game of life
Where only the strong survive?
No one knows how long we will stay alive
It seems behind those thoughts inside of my mind
There's some kind of lesson to learn about life
And lost in all these bar tales
So my day goes by
Suddenly a couple showed up
I also see some friends playing cards
So I realize that time has passed by
It's time to go then I stand up
Pages fly as I leave the bar
The story is no longer on my mind
It seems behind those thoughts inside of my mind
There's some kind of lesson to learn about life
And lost in all these bar tales
So my day goes by
It seems behind those thoughts inside of my mind
There's some kind of lesson to learn about life
And lost in all these bar tales
So my day goes by
