The naturalist
The fifth sunAbounding on this plain of earth
Shall be thy food
Butcher life cut it up
On the plate a spirit's gone
Death chemicals you consume
Ignite the aggressive surge
Strip the flesh off of their bones
Losing respect for everything
Tallest of the trees
Scream to the voices in the soil
And the once crystal clear pool does corrode
I feel as though I'd perish
If I breathed through my skin
The canary in the coal mine
We see the tragedy begin
Man belongs to the earth, and the earth not to man,
Connected like the blood that unites us all
Man did not weave the web of life
Merely he is one of its strands
Everything done to the web of life, is done to all of us
One moon in every pool
In every pool one moon
Frog would not drink up the pond
In which he dwells
Despite our diverse beliefs
We are all profoundly bound
Sacred is the vessel between mankind and earth
No reason, no thanks
That lye's upon your self
A day will come when the seasons blend as one
Rivers change courses
Forest turns to desert
Four times a sign shall appear around the sun
Seeing this know the end is near
Aged seeds of thought may they flower to this day
Expressions of legacy
Fruit to seed passing on
Aged seeds of thought may they flower to this day
Expressions of legacy
Fruit to seed passing on
Man belongs to the earth, and the earth not to man,
Connected like the blood that unites us all
Man did not weave the web of life
Merely he is one of its strands
Everything done to the web of life, is done to all of us
Aged seeds of thought may they flower to this day
Expressions of legacy
Fruit to seed passing on
Aged seeds of thought may they flower to this day
