I was a block of ice in the summer heat
Stress got more than the best of me
Felt lost and I like I had lost something

I was killing myself thinking way too hard
About wind in my wings, and a brand new start
Had to pull it all together

So I broke the bonds that confined me
Stood ready to face it finally
Bring back to life the ghost that haunted me

I almost lost it all
Hit the pavement hard
But I'm stronger now, and my guitar keeps me standing

No more sculpting statues out of past regrets
From here on out it's progress
