Supervolcano

It started many years ago
Subterranean rumblings far below
The earth split side to side
When two tectonic plates collide

They quaked and quivered and quailed
And the continental plate prevailed
It drove the oceanic down
And a mountain thrust up from the ground

Now we've got a genuine, bona fide, geologized, energized, oversized,
Pressurized, sulfurized, volcanized

Supervolcano! Ka-ka-ka-ka-boom!
Supervolcano! Ka-ka-ka-ka-boom!
Any mortal man would cower
When this force displays its awesome power
Supervolcano! Ka-ka-ka-ka-boom!

Now there's one thing I must mention
It amounts to a common misconception
When I say supervolcano, I
Don't mean your typical krakatoa

You'll shake and shiver with fear
If you listen long enough to hear
That by supervolcano I meant
It could wipe out a whole continent

An event called the toba eruption
Was a supervolcanic disruption
It was classified "mega-colossal"
Cause it made the landscape jump and jostle

This was one explosive spire
Worthy of the name of vulcan, god of fire
With its volcanic winter in place
It exterminated sixty percent of the human race

It was a genuine, bona fide, geologized, energized, oversized,
