To new lands... (part ii)
WindriderI sail over seas, through storm and gale
The stars as my guide, ever onwards
The Gods by my side, the wind in my sail
For honour and pride, my endless journey
The bow of my ship cuts though the sea like tempered steel
The mighty ocean seems so mild and tame beneath my keel
My oaken craft which seems to soar beneath the endless sky
And dance upon the wavecrests, with my white sail flying high
For many months i journeyed on, i sailed through day and night
With burning will and fortitude, with bravery and might
The golden sun before me burned the skin upon my chest
But the guardian moon behind me urged me onwards in my quest
I'll fight through the icy storms
I'll never return to that life back home
Death will not be my chosen path
The will of my heart is on the seas to roam
This ship i built from trees i felled, this sail which by my dreams is held
A vessel by my might propelled, towards my goal i am compelled
A journey over seas unknown, a journey i must make alone
For glory beyond flesh and bone, my mortal bonds are overthrown
But did i know what i would find? What i would stand to leave behind
No longer would i be entwined, with that which makes me of mankind
And though i sail for ever more, no longer to return to shore
I've lost the life i had before, my yearning heart can feel no more
I sail over seas, through storm and gale
The stars as my guide, ever onwards
The Gods by my side, the wind in my sail
For honour and pride, my endless journey
To new lands...
