To new lands... (prelude)
Windrider
As the burning sun sails along the distant horizon
And disappears beneath the smouldering embers of the skyline,
To explore the vast unseen stretches of the world and leave us in darkness,
I hear the seabirds call in excitement for their fiery God,
To wish him well on his journey...
I stand on the shore and watch him fade away, sink beyond vision and mind
And my heart yearns to follow him
Over that dark blue threshold,
To cast off from these modest shores into a world of adventure and peril
And sail with the sun on my face and the moon at my back
To new lands... far reaching lands, beyond golden shores and high mountains
And beyond... a fair green country, under a swift sunrise...
