Under the hanging vines

As I sit here with you under the hanging vines
I gaze into your eyes
As they twinkle and water
You know that the time has come

That my love for you has died
Even as you grasp your arms around me
Pleading and crying to me

I don't feel anything for you
It was a mistake to take your hand
And place your heart with mine
This will be a vivid memory

That will distance you from me
